Updates for coming week!

Dear parents & caregivers,

Thanks for your continuous support in your child's learning journey. Thanks to the parents who sent in their children to school. We had nearly 60% attendance & hoping the numbers will grow this week. We are following the 2.5 lockdown protocols in school and classrooms as well. The students are adapting well to the situations and becoming independent.

Taradale wig day hits close to home - NZ Herald


St Mary MacKillop is proudly supporting Wig Wednesday on 9 September.
Bring a gold coin and wear your most fabulous wig. The bigger the better!!!
We have chosen to support Wig Wednesday because we have a family connection in our school who
has been affected by cancer. Cairo Matisi was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Cancer at 8 months old.

Cullen Matisi is year 3 at our school and is the big brother of Cairo.

All proceeds we collect as a school will go towards the Childs Cancer foundation which will be donated

through Cairo’s page.

       Today is Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday. Today starts the Paschal Triduum. Three Most Holy days in the Catholic Liturgical Calendar. On this very day Jesus Instituted the Sacrament  of the Holy Eucharist by giving his Body and Blood as a Ransom for our Salvation. Kia ora & greeting to all parents and caregivers,  Welcome to A1's blog. I hope your lovely children would have come home and informed you about the blog. Apologies to all the parents who couldn't reach the blog. The blog will be the place where you will find all the information about A1's learning. Would like to thank all the parents who sent in the stationary in week 1. Almost all the students brought in their stationary except for 4. A1 was one of the classes that was chosen for having nearly 100% stationary. A newsletter was sent home giving all the details about Term 1's learning. Week 4 is a special day  "meet the teacher evening". Please keep yourself free as I'm very keen to meet every single parent. "Success is not the work of one but the work of many".
