Week 4

Hello parents

This Monday the 4th of November is Mufti day for A Pod classes. { A1, A4, A5, A6 only} Students will come dressed in Indian outfits. It doesn't mean that you have to go shopping for some Indian attires. Just add in colours to make it colourful.

 This Term our focus for Inquiry/ Topic is Celebrations. We have been learning about different celebrations. The students are learning about the celebration of light. Diwali the celebration of light. We have been learning about Jesus our light - Let your light shine. 

Monday is Diwali celebration Assembly. It will start at 2 p.m Please do come to support your children and enjoy them perform.  Some of the students are performing Liturgical dance and some are performing Indian dance. Those who are performing Liturgical dance will need to bring in white outfits. Girls need to bring white dress and white socks. Boys will need to bring a white t-shits or a shirt with a white Ie Faitanga and white socks

Those who are performing Indian dance - Boys will bring a red T- Shirt and a Ie Faitanga , girls will bring in their Indian outfits that they used last year for the Indian dance.  

Thanks for your continuous support in your children's learning journey. Will see in on Monday in the Wharenui.

       Today is Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday. Today starts the Paschal Triduum. Three Most Holy days in the Catholic Liturgical Calendar. On this very day Jesus Instituted the Sacrament  of the Holy Eucharist by giving his Body and Blood as a Ransom for our Salvation. Kia ora & greeting to all parents and caregivers,  Welcome to A1's blog. I hope your lovely children would have come home and informed you about the blog. Apologies to all the parents who couldn't reach the blog. The blog will be the place where you will find all the information about A1's learning. Would like to thank all the parents who sent in the stationary in week 1. Almost all the students brought in their stationary except for 4. A1 was one of the classes that was chosen for having nearly 100% stationary. A newsletter was sent home giving all the details about Term 1's learning. Week 4 is a special day  "meet the teacher evening". Please keep yourself free as I'm very keen to meet every single parent. "Success is not the work of one but the work of many".
